Arcana - City of Phenomena

The current time is 1962, The world contains a magical substance called Essence, harnessed by magicians coined as Arcanists who fend off the forces of evil that appears within Arcana City. Due to a past incident, Arcanists are required to keep their identities secret, as their services are frowned upon by some of those within the community. A rouge and violent organization has continued to cause multiple Arcanist disappearances, leading to the abundance and growth of monsters due to them nit being subjugated. Rifts as people call them, deploy monsters into the world of Arcana, and it is an Arcanist's soul duty to protect the citizens and properties within it. No one know so their origin or purpose. As the beings that come from them possess an unstudied and complex power. Closing the rifts are an Arcanist's number one priority to achieve safety within the city.
