Welcome to the Divide. To newcomers, the Divide is an odd place. Here, logic seems to fail. Reality itself can shatter in moments. Ever-changing, ever-shifting, it's impossible to comprehend it in its entirety.

Due to unfortunate circumstances, you have found yourself Stranded here. It's futile to attempt an escape. You are always welcome to try, of course. Vicious conditions may threaten you every now and then. It could be overwhelming. It could be comforting. Despite it all, I'm sure you'll pull through. Everything will be just fine.

Lay low, stay cautious, minimise danger. Inside is safest, after all. There is no need to venture out. Expeditions and searches are simply just unnecessary risks, right? Stay safe, stay relaxed, and enjoy the utopia that can form from this place.

On it's very surface, Neighbourhood of Leaves can just be a slice-of-life RP server in a strange setting. We can kick back and take a rest, socialise, and just relax in the Divide, enjoying the comforts it can provide.

But underneath it all, if one wishes to look deeper, is a RP server inspired by concepts of liminal space and ergodic literature. The Divide's lore is provided through a menagerie of distorted, tainted, blurry lenses from a vast selection of unreliable sources. The information provided could have multiple interpretations, all of which are not necessarily either right or wrong.

As more and more documents are released, the sea of data grows increasingly murkier. But, perhaps, with enough time, some Thing coherent will form? We hope you enjoy your time here.
