What is Vocal?

Vocal is a social media platform, designed for friendly, open-minded conversations.

Within just a few minutes of being on a mainstream social media app, you'll find mean-spirited content. That is because algorithms have been designed to push whatever is most engaging to you--including hateful content. We are changing the norm. We're building a community where meaningful conversations happen, without algorithmic manipulation or any advertisements.

What you want to see is up for you to decide. Our algorithm is designed in such a way where you get to decide the content you want to see. Through the obvious factors such as likes and dislikes, you'll also be able to follow topics (aka hashtags), people, exclude certain words or topics from your feed, etc. Essentially, you have a lot of control over the content you see.
