Since 2005, passionate Stargate fans have been meticulously crafting an expansive, immersive universe within the virtual realms of Second Life. From the iconic chevrons of the Stargate to sprawling alien worlds and advanced Ancient technology, this community has built intricate simulations that bring the beloved sci-fi franchise to life. What began as scattered individual efforts has evolved into a unified force starting in 2026, where creators, roleplayers, and enthusiasts join together under one banner to collaborate, innovate, and expand their shared vision.

At the heart of Gate Builders is a commitment to uniting all Stargate fans and their remarkable creations on Second Life through a single, vibrant Discord server. This hub serves as the central gathering place for discussions and coordination of projects that span multiple networks and experiences. Key networks include the Alteran Stargate Network (established in 2007), featuring over 400 active Stargates; the Universe Network, and the Novum Network (founded in 2023), emphasising high-fidelity visuals.

Talented creators like Vk Labs, OS Labs, SCS Systems, Hexem's House of Gadgets, and Carter's Creations contribute cutting-edge tools, gadgets, ships, and interactive systems that enhance roleplay and gameplay.
