## Commands

`.apply` - Adds you to the list of people that get water reminders

`.remove` - Removes you from list of people that get water reminders

`.age <age>` - Stores your age (used for nutrition information)

`.weight <weight>` - Stores your weight (used for nutrition information)

`.info` - Displays your stored age and weight

`.nutrition` - Gives you nutrition insights based off your age and weight

`.meme` - Generates a random 'water' meme from Reddit

## Inspiration

Surveys show that  **75 percent** of Americans are chronically dehydrated, which may be a big problem for their futures. Drinking water has many benefits such as keeping your body clean and lubricating the joints 

## What it does

WaterBot has several health related features. By running a simple command, you can enroll in getting reminders to drink water every hour that **you are online**. Along with the reminders, it may provide a joke, statistic or information about dehydration. You can also get nutritional recommendations based on your age and weight through this bot.

## How we built it

We built this bot using discord.js, quick.db and node.js.

## Challenges We ran into

We ran into challenges choosing which db to use since we weren't that familiar with quick.db, we also creating the hourly reminders and the DM system.

## Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We're proud of being able to make the bot fully functional and only DM you when you are online.

## What we learned

This project made us more familiar with discordjs and using databases.

## What's next for WaterBot

We are looking to improve the nutrition calculations and add more fun commands that the user can play with!
