Thank you for picking Detox Bot. This bot is powered by Google's Perspective API. It is designed to assist you and your staff in moderating your Discord server.

How does it work?

Detox works by accessing the Perspective API neural network developed by Google. It will respond accordingly to messages, and content.

What can it moderate?

It can moderate the basic things, such as swearing. But it can also moderate stuff such as overall toxicity. For example, if someone says in chat, "You're dumb" that will be flagged as Toxic by the Discord Bot if configured correctly.

That's all well and good and all... But how do you configure it?

It's very simple to configure the bot. All you need is a few things. Here is all that you need.

• Perspective API token Get One Here You must request API access, please note by using Perspective API, you agree to Google's Terms of Service.
• A google cloud project using the Perspective API. Learn More

After you've completed the setup, simply use the command D!token (YourAPIkey) in your server. Make sure to use this command in a private channel, such as moderation or administration channel.

Note: Only admins can access this command.

The bot is working, but it's too sensitive, now what?

If the bot is too sensitive, this must be adjusted. Please use this command: D!threshold (A number between 1 and 100) this command will adjust your percentage certainty at which the bot will react to a message.

What are the terms of agreement when using this bot?

We will always remain free and online. However you must agree to our terms of use when using this bot. Here they are.

• Detox bot will save your Perspective API key on our servers while the bot is in your Discord server. Upon leaving, your API token will be deleted. This is to ensure that Detox is properly able to access the Perspective API.
• The bot sends all messages to Google.com, meaning you hereby accept Google's Terms of Service. The reason for this is that Perspective API is Owned by Google. Therefore, their Terms of Service apply to Perspective API.
• All information sent to google is kept anonymous, you cannot be identified. We will not share any personal information with any other companies, be it that you yourself aren't posting personal information in the requests.
