A Divided Wasteland

Welcome to A Divided Wasteland! The Wasteland is a fairly beginner friendly rp server with room for lots of player lead lore and opportunities for your characters. The frozen landscape is a dangerous world so you'll have to get creative to survive and know who to trust and who to be wary of if you want to succeed.

The lore (can also be found in server): In the year 22XX a human colony was established on planet Gelida within the Damnatus planetary system. Humanity had kept an eye on the planet for decades as a possible refuge to keep humanity alive as a species, which they soon found necessary.

A large asteroid was heading for the Earth, it was approaching slowly and steadily but it was bound to make an impact nonetheless. The incoming disaster split the world into two factions, one of which began to build bunkers and wanted to save life on Earth and the other wanted to ensure humankind subsists by sending a settlement to Gelida.

The Gelida project was successful and humans settled well on the planet, having the time to develop before the asteroid hit Earth. When it did it caused mass destruction and most people who lived among the countries focusing on the Gelida project perished. However, most in the other faction survived.

As humankind steadily recovered their footing on Earth they decided to make contact with Gelida and the two proceeded to exchange information for a couple of decades. That was until disaster struck once more, this time however, it would be on Gelida.

No one knows what could have caused it, but the planet suddenly began to move away from the sun. In less than a day the planet turned into a frozen wasteland. Any form of communication was now gone and the satellites that observed the planet lost their function.

Due to the assumption that everyone on the planet either was or would be dead by the time a rescue operation could even be launched, Earth decided that it was not worth investing the already sparse resources in their possession. They instead just mourned the millions of lives they assumed had been lost... but they were gravely mistaken.

From the rouble, four factions rose as some of the survivors wanted to return to the way things were while others wanted to take advantage of the new freedom and secrets that this apocalypse provided them. It’s 104 years later and it not clear what path the colony will take. It’s now up to the inhabitants of the planet to decide what the future of Gelida will be.
