VRCVerify is a streamlined Discord bot designed to confirm users’ ages based on VRChat’s own 18+ verification system—no photo IDs or extra steps needed. By simply having users place a small code in their VRChat bio, VRCVerify ensures quick, automatic role assignments to keep your community age-appropriate, private, and fun.

How Does It Work?

1. Simple Startup
   Server members can press the “Begin Verification” button (or type /vrcverify if the server setup panel isn't posted) to start the process.

2. VRChat Username Entry
   Users enter their VRChat username. VRCVerify generates a unique code that’s added to the user’s VRChat bio on a new line.

3. Instant Verification
   Once the user hits “Verify,” VRCVerify checks that the user’s VRChat profile is flagged as 18+ and the code is present in their bio. If both match, the bot automatically gives them the community’s designated verified role—no waiting for human moderators.

4. Minimal Data Storage
   VRCVerify only keeps three pieces of info:

   • Discord ID
   • VRChat username
   • Verified badge status (yes/no)

   No personal IDs, photos, or sensitive data are ever collected or stored. The verification leverages public VRChat data (your 18+ status) to confirm age eligibility.

How to Set It Up in Your Server

1. Invite the Bot
   Use the official bot invite link to add VRCVerify to your Discord server.

2. Configure a Verification Role
   In your server, type /vrcverify_setup and pick the role you want assigned to verified members. This can be an “18+” role, “Verified,” etc.

3. Optional: Post Instructions
   Type /vrcverify_instructions to post an interactive, one-button verification panel in a channel of your choice. This helps new users immediately see how to verify.

4. Done!
   Users can click “Begin Verification” or type /vrcverify to start. Once they drop a code in their VRChat bio and confirm, VRCVerify will automatically grant them the verification role—no hassle, no waiting.
