I haven't used the bot yet, but I was wondering if it was a card-collecting or gacha type bot? I've been trying to find one, but hyejoo was a bit too complicated, and commands didn't work, so I'm hoping to find a better kpop-type bot than that one.

Irene doesn't have a gacha system yet. It will eventually, but currently there are too many features that are being worked on. The most popular Gacha Kpop bots are Aimi and Hyejoo. Hyejoo might have just not been working at the time you were using it or you got the syntax wrong. If you are interested in Aimi though, you need to apply on their support server.
