Bestfriends

This bot is actively in development. The goal is to provide a service that identifies relationships between users and displays that information in an interesting format. We built Bestfriends for medium to large social servers. Currently, the bot is hosted using Heroku and we have a very limited number of completed commands. The current leaderboard functionality keeps track of mentions between users and then sorts them on a leaderboard using a modified PageRank algorithm. At the top of the leaderboard will be users who are mentioned by many other users, but they also have to be mentioned consistently more than others. We have plans for more support to interpret and display relationships between individuals and hope to release that soon!

Bestfriends Bot full release! With this release of Bestfriend's Bot we've fleshed out how users can interact with one another with new commands!

1. Shoutout/Callout: These simple commands allow a user to increase or decrease their status with other users. Shoutout your friends and Callout your enemies and watch as they rise or fall on the status leaderboard.
2. Fight: In addition to shoutout and callout, you can choose to fight users that you dislike! The winner of the fight will rise in the status leaderboard while the loser will be humiliated and fall in the rankings!
3. Random Events: Server hosts have the ability to enable Random Events on their server. If they choose to enable this feature then every hour, a Rumor or Conflict can occur between users on the server, allowing bystanders to pick a side to further pick their friends and foes.

We have also added 3 new leaderboards!

1. Activity: This leaderboard is for the simple folks, it simply tracks how many messages people send, and ranks them accordingly
2. Interactivity: This leaderboard is a new and improved version of the old Mentions leaderboard. It is a popularity measurement that ranks users by who other people interact with the most! Mentioning a user will increase their ranking, but also you can increase their ranking by simply talking to them in general chat, no need for mentions or anything!
3. Status: This leaderboard will rank people by summing up the statuses between them and all other users on the server. These statuses are affected by the Shoutout, Callout, and Fight commands as well as random events! People who are ranked highly here are well-liked more often than they are disliked! These are just the main features, but there are even more commands included in this version of the bot.
