『蘭芳國 | Lanfong Republic 』

Welcome to【華國】！We are a group of language enthusiasts/nerds who are eager to discuss and learn Chinese! This server aims to provide plentiful resources, fun activities and immersion to facilitate a healthy learning environment. We have a comprehensive google doc where we consolidate every good resource we can find.

We also host events in hopes that they will encourage potential learners as well as experienced ones to keep up the motivation (E.g. Word Chain/成語接龍, Timed quizzes, handwriting events, e.t.c.). Additionally, we also have two exclusive discord bots for chinese where you can play quizzes, get stroke orders, definitions, analyse texts, translate, etc. Hope to see you there! (づ｡◕‿‿◕｡)づ

※ This server mainly focuses on Southern/Taiwanese Mandarin, the dialects of Mandarin spoken in parts of Southern China, Southeast Asia and the Republic of China (Taiwan). ※ Therefore, this server uses Traditional Characters. But don't worry, there is no restriction on character set. Everyone is welcome! ※ We are currently one of few servers which support zhuyin and are huge advocates of TOCFL, the lesser known alternative to HSK. Come and test TOCFL mock quizzes with our bots!
