According to the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as of 2018, 42.4% of adults and 19.3% (about 14.4 million) children and adolescents aged 2-19 years are obese. Childhood obesity was 13.4% among 2- to 5-year-olds, 20.3% among 6- to 11-year-olds, and 21.2% among 12- to 19-year-olds.
Being healthy and being fit are interrelated. Heath is the emotional and mental aspect, while fitness is the physical health of a person. Anyone can lead a healthy lifestyle by drinking plenty of water, having a simple diet, and doing regular physical activities.
