★The Hot Zone: Reemergence★ The Hot Zone: Reemergence takes place in 2006, more than a decade after the Reston scare. New threats have emerged since then, including those from nature and as a result of man's doing. The focus of the RP is on countering these new threats.

In addition to its extensive research profile, USAMRIID investigates major outbreaks around the world, as well as incidents of bioterrorism. Although outbreaks are the major focus, they may also be called to investigate criminal misuses of science.

The server is based primarily on the National Geographic series "The Hot Zone", however there may be smaller influences from other similar media (see below).

You should join us if you like or are interested in: ⍟ The Hot Zone (1994 Novel and 2019- TV Series), Outbreak (1995 Film), The Cobra Event (1998 Novel), Strange World (Late 90s, Early 2000s TV Series), Contagion (2011 Film), The Cassandra Crossing (1976 Film), and other media with similar themes. ⍟ Themes involving science, science fiction, medicine, military, war, crime, suspense, mystery, technology, and speculative fiction. ⍟ Roleplaying in general. ⍟ Late 90s and Early 2000s culture.

In participating in our server, you can: ⍟ Create and RP as military personnel and DoD civilians (scientists, officers, enlisted soldiers, etc.), or just your average citizen - including established canons and your very own OCs. You can also choose to RP as the bad guys and form your own organizations to cause havoc. ⍟ Participate in a welcoming and helpful community, complete with polls, server-wide and RP events, and giveaways. ⍟ Engage in a constantly evolving world and shape the future, for better or worse. ⍟ Experience life at the Institute and the world itself.
