Stella City is known as the heart of Astra Guild, the head of all hunters across the globe. However, Stella wasn’t always so peaceful. In front of Astra’s main building is a replica of the first gate to ever open. One that released thousands of monsters that produced more casualties than the worst natural disasters the globe has faced in just its hour window of operation. Faced with these ferocious creatures still roaming and multiplying, humanity lost hope.

That is, until the first Awakened pair appeared. One was a human equipped with a magical ability to aid in battle – called Espers. The other possessed a great amount of energy, one that could fuel the Esper through restless wars with just a single touch – called Guides. Together, they complete each other, being two halves of one whole, guaranteeing a safer future for all.
