Project Zomboid Pet Bot Overview

Project Zomboid Pet is a Discord bot designed to reward players who vote for your server. Currently, the bot is free to use, but a subscription model may be introduced in the future if the user base grows. There is no need to host the bot yourself; simply add it to your Discord server, and it's ready to operate.

Setup Instructions

Initial Configuration

/setup "token": Configure your Top-Games API token. /rcon "ip" "port" "password": Set up your RCON credentials, necessary for distributing in-game items to players. Channel Settings

/channel set #bot-commands: Designate a specific channel for bot commands. If not set, the bot will respond in any channel on your server. Language Settings

/lang [en|fr]: Choose your preferred language. Currently, English (en) and French (fr) are supported. Creating a User Account

/account create: Initialize your user account. /account steam: Link your Steam ID, required for vote verification. /account nickname: Set your in-game nickname, as listed on your server. /account see: View all your associated data and rewards. /account delete: Permanently remove your account and all related rewards. Claiming and Receiving Rewards

/claim: Verify if a player has voted and assign a random item reward. /redeem: Collect your items while you are connected in-game. Admin Commands

/item add "clearname" "base_name" "drop_chance": Add a new item to the reward pool. Clearname is shown to the user; base_name is the item's ID. /item delete "base_name": Remove an item from the reward pool. /item clear: Remove all items from the reward pool. Additional Features

The bot utilizes Discord's autocompletion feature for ease of use. Users must authenticate through Steam on top-games.net (or top-serveurs.net for French users). Currently, the bot only supports Top-Games and Top-Serveurs networks. Roadmap

Implement user-friendly names in all commands (e.g., /account see, /redeem). Allow customization of the bot’s name, profile picture, and description. Enable warnings for users and track their infractions. Implement functionality to ban users from the server.
