i softban "users" from the server if they send 3 messages in 3 different channels within the span of 5 seconds.

this pretty much instantly catches those annoying hacked accounts which send the same scam message in every channel, before someone inevitably pings the moderators to deal with it. you know the ones i mean :P

this bot requires the view channels, read message history and ban members permissions in order to function.

make sure that the bot role is placed high up the server list, otherwise it won't be able to ban the user! other than that, this bot needs no setup, and it can kinda just sit in the background and do what it does :P

also, this bot ignores messages from other bots, and forwarded messages.

privacy

this bot doesn't access the content of the messages, only the author, time, channel ID, and server name. in the bot's debug logs, it also mentions when it joins a server and when it bans a user. that's literally all there is to it.
