In this server we believe that free speech is more than just the opportunity to share our ideas in a public forum where they may be vetted cohesively in a communal setting; we believe that free speech is also the notion that even when we strongly disagree, we can still, nonetheless, have a salutary exchange that doesn't degenerate into ego-indulgent fallacies or outright mudslinging.

We believe that an important part of free speech is striving to come out better for all parties in the end, even with stark disparities of opinion.
