The Powers That Be, is a discord based geopolitical sim where you assume the role of the leadership of a real life nation in the present day. Everything that has occurred up to this point has happened after the start date, anything is possible through your own actions. We aim keep a strong sense of realism to our game but without stifling creative fun. The goal is just to run your country how you want, conducting diplomacy with other nations, maintaining a stable home-front, commanding your military, engaging in it's procurement of new military equipment and technology, and more.

We have just opened up the applications for our first round as a discord based game. With a mod team comprised of veterans of the genre with a combined 20+ years of geopolitical sim experience. Our in game clock moves at 3 IRL days to 1 IG month.

We have created innovative systems to improve gameplay and action processing efficiency. With proprietary budget spreadsheets, detailed military statistics, and private national categories it's unlike any discord based nation sim before it and we hope you'll be here to experience it with us.
