We are a group of LGBTQ+ youth and allies aged anywhere from 13-21.
The Aurora is a server for LGBTQ+ youth and allies based around the first LGBTQ+ friendly continent, Antartica. Our name is a nod to the bright vivid colours of the Aurora and the simularity to the gay pride flag. Our aim is to help LGBTQ+ youth make new friends and have a safe space to access whenever they need. We use a bot to apply roles via the roles channel to help everyone know a little more about you. We have a diverse range of channels including but not limited to: art, anime, vent, friend applications, party games and cooking and baking. In order to comply with Discord's TOS and to protect the youth, we have a minimum age of 13 and maximum age of 21. Alongside age caps we have incredibly strict rules on: bullying and harrasment, innapropriate content and hate speech which will always result in perm bans. In order to ensure these rules are understood and followed, we force users to read and agree to them before use and use both bots and mods. We also employ bots and mods to ensure that no potentially triggering language is used on the server without censorship or in innapropriate channels. We encourage suggestions and have a dedicated bot and channel to make the server more inclusive and exciting. Due to the server's past as an Australian exclusive, we have locked state specific channels for all that apply the Australia role to themselves. We are now open to everyone worldwide!
