A small sized fantasy roleplay setting set in a single city.
The world was once destroyed by an unknown force. Nature changed and became inhospitable. One by one, cities fell and civilisations crumbled. All of which fell by different inexplicable means. Earthquakes swallowing cities whole, endless monster raids, rivers turning into poison, people turning into plants, or cities simply disappearing into thin air.
There was only one place safe. The Plateau. Inhabitants of every shape and size fled here to make their home. The Plateau is the only place untouched by the world ending chaos. In order to keep it this way, The Plateau established a strong military force to fight off any incoming threat.
Because of the exceptionally multicultural nature of this city, pretty much anything can be done here. From gladiator arena, theatres, art and music halls, sports grounds the big market, cheese makery, halls of history, the arcanium, Hall of Fame, The Court, religious sights of every kind, etc.
The city and farmlands occupy every corner of the Plateau. Space is always running out. People don't live in houses, they live in apartments. Only farmers get to live in fairly large houses, built on top the barns. Because of this limited space, inner city conflicts arise easily, and scientists are looking for new ways to reclaim parts of the chaos lands. Many attempts have been made in the past, with few successes.
