100 years after a great catastrophe, the world might have changed - but humanity hasn't.
Long ago a great catastrophe occurred. The Behemoth, a monster outside of logic, was inexplicably set loose on the world during the study of Sorcery. After nearly ten years of combat, a breakthrough was found, Ars Magus. The fusion of Sorcery and Science. Given to the strongest warriors alive, Humanity fought back against the beast and attempted to destroy it. Finally suceeding. One hundred years into the future, the world is forever changed. Humanity has been reduced to a fraction of its original size and has been forced to relocate to the mountaintops equipped with the Ars Magus. However, not everyone can use Ars - leading to a slowly widening gap in the world between those who can and can not. The Ars Magus has now been incorporated into everything, down to clothes and everyday machines. The higher one's aptitude the higher one's rank in society. The more perks they are privileged to, and the better their quality of life. This goes both ways, however. The world has changed, yet humanity remains the same. So what side are you on? Will you fight back against the system, abuse your power for personal gain, follow the natural order, or do something else?
