Protectors Clash is an upcoming singleplayer, roguelite, superhero card game, set in the Protectors universe.
Protectors Clash is a singleplayer superhero card game with roguelite elements. You will be able to play as any of the five Protectors, each having their own distinct cards and mechanics. You will choose your character, pick 10 cards that work best for you, choose a subclass and then embark on a journey to fight various criminals. During your runs, you will get multiple upgrade options such as Augments that enhance your whole deck, Card Mods that improve your specific cards or even Ability Mods that give your cards entirely new skills. Once you complete the run, you will receive cosmetic rewards, lore rewards and token rewards that you can use to unlock more cards…
… At least, that’s the plan. Before we get there, we first need to create an exciting Combat Demo. If the players find it boring, there would be no point in adding various systems on top of that. While roguelite elements are the most fun to invent, our priority is to finish the kits of the main characters and make the vanilla combat as fun as possible. Once it’s done, we will move on to the development of the roguelite systems.
Anyway, on this Discord channel we will try to give you a small insight into what we’ve been working on. Since we’re still in the early stages of development, we’d also love to know your ideas for the type of game we’re making!
