Welcome to the Canopy Discord bot! This bot is all about rewarding your community’s activity with making real tangible donations in the real world, from planting trees to donating to food banks across the globe. We are excited to have you here!

🌿 How it works Earn points just by hanging out in voice channels or by listening to music/playing games that are detected via Discord's Rich Game Presence. Players can earn up to 300 points per day Reach goals in your server to earn points for donating to charities. Receive realized donations attributed to your Discord server on behalf of Canopy.

🌿 With a Leaderboard See where you place in Canopy's rankings! The servers with the highest achieved goals score higher. Don't worry - the points are weighted against the size of your community. One community with 20 members is equal to another community with 200,000 members.

🌿 Commands Use these commands to interact with the Canopy bot. Note that some responses will only be visible to you:

Universal Commands /about → Learn about Canopy. /leaderboard → See how your server stacks up globally. /supporters → Learn about the @Supporter and @Supporter + roles. /privacy → Review our privacy policy.

Guild Commands /canopy → Shows your server’s progress in the stage, your server score, your point count, and your total/realized donations. /select-server-donation → Prompts you to set the donation type for your server. Current values: Ecosystem Restoration (trees) Food Banks Health Research Educational Resources Humane Societies Surprise Us!

@Supporter and @Supporter + Commands /self → Shows your own progress regarding points and your next donation /select-my-donation → Prompts you to set the donation type for yourself. Same options as /select-server-donation above.

🌿 Where do our funds come from? The Discord server has subscriptions available (sign up via the desktop app). These subscriptions generate a fund pool for communities to donate to causes from. Supporter and Supporter+ provide funds for 1 and 5 servers, respectively.

🌿 What else do subscriptions do? The Canopy bot also tracks your own individual contributions when you subscribe to the server, earning extra opportunities for you to donate yourself, with the latter subscription offering more opportunities to donate!

🌿 Why? Every action here can create real-world impact. We’re making the activities you take and the time you spend gaming, listening to music, and otherwise relaxing into support for causes across the board. We want to make this world a better place for everyone!
