Prologue

Arc 0: You my friend, one way or another, find yourself in Lockwood city. A mish mash of culture and may I say just a swell place to be. Cars humming as they roam about the city streets, a sea of conversation drowning out your voice, the feeling of your cosy apartment bed after a long day of work. All of these things are under threat constantly. Abnormals is what they’re called. Honestly in recent times they’ve just been pinned as some sort of folk legend by most. Supernatural creatures with unimaginable power. Not like they’ve ever bothered you. Your life is about as normal as it always is…or perhaps it’s not? Perhaps you’ve seen one, experienced what it can do first hand. Perhaps you’re desperate enough to have scrolled all the way down on job applications and found something only certain individuals would take note of. Perhaps at your lowest someone gave you a chance to redeem yourself. Pay off a debt. Enact revenge. Keep your family safe. Keep a roof over your head. Whatever the case you my found something that flips your perception of our quaint little world upside down. Even when its flipped back nothing looks quite the same.

A certain organisation, P.O.N is what it's called. “Preservers of normality” or something like that. Quite mysterious in many ways but from what you can find theres one through line, something this business clearly prizes. To protect your average joe from those damn abnormals. Those supposed fake folk tale myths. Those supernatural beings that pose a very real threat to not only Lockwood city but potentially all of humanity. I guess you’re willing to join them. Maybe awaken latent abilities you never knew that you had. The choice really is yours my friend. Dedicate your life to P.O.N to the unknown, to preserving normality or turn a blind eye and continue on with your mundane but much safer existence. The only thing is once you're in, there really is no going back.
