How does the game work?

The image below is a typical template of how the Jeopardy quiz will appear like. Contestants will be asked questions based on one of the listed categories, with increasing difficulty based on the points offered. There will be a buzzing system in place, so the first contestant to hit their buzzer will have a chance to answer the given question; if an incorrect answer is given, there will be chances to steal the points by answering the question via the same buzzing system.

When you have a correct answer you are rewarded with points and the opportunity to choose the next category & respective points for that category. If there are no answers, the host will select the next question. Occasionally, there will be questions where you can obtain double points awarded for questions near the latter stages of the show. We do these kind of game twitches to make things more interesting.

Just look at #announcement and make sure to have notifications on for this server, when we start a Jeopardy quiz we pick random people from the call to participate in the day's quiz.

Where did we get the name Jeopardy from?

Based on the popular American television game show, this show features a quiz competition in which contestants are presented with general knowledge clues in the form of answers, and they must phrase their response in the form of question. However fuck that - in Jeopardy, the responses are just answers.
